About the Job

We are seeking an experienced International Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Farnborough, UK.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our IPR program, ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws related to international trade. This includes conducting regular checks on import and export entries, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring brokers for accuracy and liaising to manage risk.

The role also involves ownership of HTS codes in the UK, regular checks on accuracy, and ensuring all gaps are closed. Additionally, the candidate will work with relevant teams to ensure correct export classification and support the implementation of CBAM in the UK.

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to learn and operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems and web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the IPR program, ensuring existing program is maximized and compliant
  • Conduct compliance checks on all entries, establishing and maintaining a system of checks
  • Own HTS codes in the UK, regular checks on accuracy, and ensure all gaps are closed
  • Work with relevant teams to ensure correct export classification
  • Support the implementation of CBAM in the UK
  • General support to Senior Compliance Officer
  • Management of two compliance specialists

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
  • Experience in trade compliance
  • Ability to effectively learn and operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems, web-based applications, and 3rd party productivity software
  • Excellent understanding of all relevant Customs regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicant must demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skills
