Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the role of Driver/Porter at Pickfords, Ltd. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary, ongoing training, and a dynamic work environment.

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, operating vehicle tail lifts, and performing daily vehicle checks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct walk-around vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is in a safe condition for use.
  • Operate vehicle tail lifts and perform basic furniture maintenance and assembly/disassembly of flat pack furniture.
  • Maintain accurate records and update job paperwork.
  • Comply with traffic laws and legislation.
  • Follow safe loading procedures.

Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Brief knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Salary Range: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

Estimated Salary: £26,250 per annum based on national average salary ranges.
