SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Salford-based SEN school. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, working closely with a class teacher to ensure the best possible outcomes.

About the Role
  • £83.85+ per day through PAYE, with weekly pay on timesheets.
  • Full-time role Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3pm, at a primary school in the Salford area.
  • Opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, making a positive impact on their education.
  • ASAP start following registration with Teaching Personnel.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing 1:1 support for pupils with SEN, working closely with a class teacher.
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, as needed.
  • Supporting pupils with their day-to-day needs, including academic and personal support.
  • Working closely with the senior leadership team to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with SEN pupils, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and other staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of the school.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of child protection.
