Job Summary

This role offers the opportunity to work as a Bank Chef at Barchester Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will have the chance to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals to residents while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the dietary needs of residents
  • Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes that meet hotel/restaurant standards
  • Help create a warm and welcoming environment within the home
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control
  • Assist in leading and motivating the team to achieve high standards

Person Specification

The ideal candidate for the Bank Chef role must hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification, have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, a good understanding of nutrition, and working with fresh seasonal food. A strong grasp of HACCP principles is also essential.
