This is a particularly exciting time for Bradford Cathedral as they get ready for Bradford's year as the UK City of Culture in 2025. They're looking to grow their ministry and serve the community in new and meaningful ways—celebrating the histories of those who call Bradford home and helping to shape the city's future.

Bradford Cathedral is searching for a new Head of Fundraising and Partnerships who will be a key part of bringing their vision and strategy to life. This person will help make the most of the opportunities that 2025 brings and contribute to the Cathedral's future, all while supporting the city and its community. The focus will be on developing a creative and ambitious fundraising strategy that includes fundraising, income generation, and marketing—building on the great work that's been done in recent years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the Cathedral's vision and goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and community partners
  • Manage and motivate a team of fundraising professionals to achieve fundraising targets
  • Stay up-to-date with fundraising regulations and best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and guidelines
  • Develop and implement effective marketing and communication strategies to promote the Cathedral's mission and fundraising initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fundraising and partnership development, with a track record of success in securing significant donations and sponsorships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and networking skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work at a strategic and operational level, with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and practices
  • Experience in managing and motivating a team, with a focus on achieving fundraising targets
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations and best practices, including GDPR and data protection
