Job Overview

At Allied Bakeries, we are seeking a skilled Relief Van Sales Driver to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering bakery products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in our Safety-First culture and comply with our internal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet.
  • Maintain accurate tachograph records, company key control procedures, and working time regulations.
  • Maximise sales and contribute to the growth of our company brands.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers within our customer stores.
  • Verify load accuracy against interim load summaries and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all products are correctly charged to the relevant customer and record any returns.
  • Deliver products on time and in full within agreed time windows.
  • Collect and return baskets daily.
  • Return any collected returns to the bakery for disposal on a daily basis.
  • Participate in sharing best practices within the sales team.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Professional Driver Category 2 (Category C) license.
  • Possess a Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Flexibility and co-operation to meet business needs.
  • Experience in delivering to or working in a sales environment.
  • A digital driver's card is desirable.
  • Merchandising experience is desirable.
  • A Professional Driver Category 1 (Category C + E) license is desirable.
