About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Van Sales Driver to join our team at Allied Bakeries. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering bakery products to our customers, ensuring that our products are displayed and merchandised to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in our Safety-First culture and comply with our internal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the safety and efficiency of our fleet.
  • Maintain accurate tachograph records, company key control procedures, and working time regulations.
  • Maximise sales and contribute to the growth of our company brands.
  • Develop close working relationships with key decision-makers within stores.
  • Verify load accuracy and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure all products are correctly charged to the relevant customer and record any returns.
  • Deliver products on time and in full within agreed time windows.
  • Collect and return baskets daily.
  • Return any returns collected to the bakery for disposal on a daily basis.
  • Participate in the sharing of best practices within the sales team.
Requirements
  • Category 2 (Category C) Professional Driver's License.
  • Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
  • Effective communication and influencing skills.
  • Flexibility and co-operation to meet business needs.
  • Experience in delivering to or working in a sales environment.
  • Digital Driver's Card (desirable).
  • Merchandising experience (desirable).
  • Category 1 (Category C + E) Professional Driver's License (desirable).
