**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team in General Surgery. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work alongside experienced staff to achieve patient rehabilitation and discharge goals.

The successful candidate will be expected to work hours across Wednesday to Friday, including regular weekend working. This role is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

**Company Overview:**

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust offers a supportive environment with opportunities for professional development and leadership growth.

**Salary:** £38,890 - £44,503 per annum (dependent on experience)

**Job Responsibilities:**

The successful candidate will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Support workers, and nursing staff to achieve patient rehabilitation and discharge goals within the General Surgical setting.

This will include management and discharge of Amputee patients and follow-up treatment of patients discharged from Critical Care to the Surgical wards ensuring continuity of care for this complex group of patients.

**Person Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience:**

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Registered with Health and Care Professions Council
  • Evidence of specialist clinical training in relevant areas
  • Evidence of broad range of pre- and post-qualification experience
  • Evidence of NHS experience in relevant area of clinical practice
