Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Financial Analyst to join our Head Office Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will support the UK trading company's month-end close, review balance sheets, and gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliations, and prepayment and accrual reconciliations.
  • Financial Systems: Maintain and update financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with departmental heads to drive continuous improvements and support business decisions.
  • Skills and Attributes
    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Good understanding of accounting fundamentals, including double entry, trial balances, journals, and accounting entries.
    • Excellent IT literacy with experience in finance systems and MS Excel.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively and to deadlines.
