We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and standards.

About the Role:

  • Produce high-quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, and Installations, to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and scope.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to electrical design, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including EPlan drawings and specifications, to support other departments in executing their tasks.
  • Attend project sites to inspect electrical installations against required standards, ensuring adherence to company H&S and Quality Procedures.
  • Support colleagues across the business, including attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, and supplier meetings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, ensuring your technical skills remain current and relevant.

About You:

  • Hold a formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, preferably a degree, or an HND/HNC with relevant design experience.
  • Have recent experience with EPlan P8 and a strong competence in Electrical Design engineering, including conducting calculations, generating specifications, and producing CAD drawings.
  • Be a team-focused individual with strong resilience and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Have a strong can-do attitude, a willingness to step in and help resolve complex problems, and a natural interest in understanding how equipment works.
  • Take pride in producing high-quality work and growing your team.
  • Be willing to spend time on project sites, client sites, and supplier sites as required to ensure project delivery.
