At HDR, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs, plans, specifications, and estimates for Data Centre/Mission Critical facilities. You will work closely with engineering teams to develop and implement electrical design solutions that meet the highest standards of technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings. You will have a deep understanding of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems. You will also have strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.

We are looking for a self-starter who can manage and develop resources to meet project demands while maintaining the highest level of technical excellence and regulatory compliance. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver high-quality electrical design solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out engineering concept design through to detailed design.
  • Producing detailed design and installation design of complete electrical systems for Data Centres/Mission Critical projects.
  • Ensuring all design projects and reports within the group are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard.
  • Implementing and managing QA systems and procedures on all projects.
  • Ensuring Quality Management System ISO 9001 and 14001 are adhered to.
