At Kantar Media Audiences, we are seeking a skilled Quality Control Analyst to join our team. As the official provider of TV viewing data for all broadcast channels in the UK, we have a critical role for a member of the Quality Control (QC) Team.
The Broadcasters' Audience Research Board (BARB) is responsible for measuring the number of people watching television in the UK, on behalf of the television companies and the advertising industry. As a Quality Control Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the data received from BARB homes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating data received from BARB homes and identifying potential faults that require follow-up.
- Reviewing data collected from new homes and determining whether they have passed all vital checks and criteria to become live homes on the active panel.
- Collaborating closely with the internal Panel Admin Team and external field engineers to progress issues preventing homes from reporting accurately.
- Providing information and guidance to field engineers on the source of problems causing issues with data quality.
- Using a range of tools and dashboards to investigate issues that may impact data quality.
- Supervising the performance and efficiency of other members of the BARB team, including technicians and data entry staff.
- Ensuring that QC activities are completed within specified timeframes to meet Service Level Agreements.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Access, and Power BI.
- Experience of running statistical data analyses in a previous role or as part of an academic qualification.
- Familiarity with various tools and dashboards used for data investigation and quality control, including SQL and Python.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret data accurately to identify potential faults and unusual trends.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours on a rota basis at weekends and bank holidays.
