Audi Workshop Team Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Audi Workshop Controller to join our team at Halfords Group PLC. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about vehicle maintenance and has experience in managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be accountable for the smooth running of the Workshop team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all colleagues are updated on commercial priorities and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate jobs to the Workshop team based on technical requirement and customer demand.
- Hold daily huddles to ensure all colleagues are updated on commercial priorities.
- Develop and mentor the Workshop team to develop their technical capabilities.
- Provide technical support to the team where demand requires it.
- Work closely with management to support in driving key metrics and KPIs.
Requirements
- Technically trained to Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance standard, or equivalent time served.
- Experience of managing/supervising a team/workshop to drive performance and delivery.
- Excellent customer approach - ability to communicate clearly and simply to customers.
- Experience of developing colleagues through delivery of technical training.
- Experience of meeting compliance standards across Health and Safety and quality.
- Experience of labour force scheduling, with proven time management skills.
- Must hold a current full valid driving licence.
