Welcome to Taylor Whitmore Limited, a reputable freight forwarder and customs clearance agent based in Felixstowe. We are seeking an experienced Senior Import Operator to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing import operations, ensuring timely and efficient clearance of goods. Key duties include:

  • Reference jobs within our forwarding system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Coordinate with customers to arrange customs clearance and delivery of goods.
  • Book haulage with selected hauliers, ensuring optimal pricing and service.
  • Process and manage import documentation, including Bills of Lading and telex releases.
  • Monitor and report on import operations, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Port Community Systems (Destin8 / CNS).
