Welcome to Taylor Whitmore Limited, a reputable freight forwarder and customs clearance agent based in Felixstowe.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Import Operator to join our team, working closely with our clients to ensure seamless import operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reference jobs within our forwarding system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Monitor and update jobs with the latest vessel and arrival information.
  • Verify the presence of original Bill of Lading or telex release documents.
  • Arrange customs clearance in line with customer requirements.
  • Coordinate FCL and LCL deliveries, booking direct with customer warehouses.
  • Select hauliers based on price and service, booking haulage accordingly.
  • Advise consignees of charges prior to delivery, for selected customers only.
  • Obtain releases for LCL/FCL shipments as required.
  • Monitor quay dates and times daily.
  • Utilize Port Community Systems (Destin8/CNS) for efficient operations.
  • Perform other tasks reasonably within an office environment.
