Job Title: Head Chef

Blue Arrow is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team in Bedford. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing high-quality food and beverages, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prepare menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and budgetary constraints.
  • Lead a team of junior chefs, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent food quality and presentation.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they meet customer expectations and are profitable.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the client to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or senior chef in a similar environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
