Job Overview

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for someone passionate about teaching and support work to make a difference in special educational needs.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with experienced educators to deliver engaging lessons and provide personalized care to students.

Our SEN schools cater to children with diverse needs, offering a rich learning environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver customized lesson plans
  2. Supporting students with life skills, daily routines, and social-emotional development
  3. Facilitating student participation in school events and activities
  4. Providing behavioral support to ensure a safe and inclusive environment
  5. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and adapting teaching methods as needed
  6. Assisting with classroom management, including supervising students during breaks
What We're Looking For

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Previous experience working with children and individuals with disabilities
  • Relevant qualifications, such as GCSE English Language & Maths or equivalent
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability in high-pressure situations
  • UK Driver's License and reliable transportation (desired but not required)

Please note that all applicants will undergo a comprehensive registration process and Enhanced DBS check.

Salary: £22,100-£26,000 per annum, FTE, available in various contract types, including day-to-day, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions.
