A specialist school in Kent seeks dedicated individuals to join their team as Student Support Assistants. This long-term role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, and associated learning difficulties. As a Student Support Assistant, you will work Monday to Thursday 12:30-21:30, providing individualized support and accommodations to enable students' learning and promoting their independence.
Key responsibilities include enabling students' learning through individualized support and accommodations, promoting students' independence by assisting with daily living tasks and developing life skills, and supporting students in achieving their academic and personal goals. A car driver's license is required, and previous experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is essential. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures and experience working with students with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders. This is a fixed-term contract position with a competitive salary of £16.50 per hour and comprehensive training program offered.
