Primary School Learning Support Worker

A dynamic and supportive teaching assistant is required to join a reputable primary school in Sevenoaks. This full-time role starts January 2025.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, committed to delivering high-quality support to students, and capable of building effective relationships with colleagues and parents.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored support to students, addressing their unique learning needs and developing strategies to promote academic achievement.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement learning plans, ensuring alignment with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Monitor students' progress and development, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting targeted interventions.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Prioritize pupil welfare and safety, reporting any concerns to senior staff promptly.
Requirements:
- Hold a minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Proven experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply.
Salary and Benefits:
- £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
