Education Job Description

This role involves supporting students in the Early Years class at a primary school in Sevenoaks.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and be able to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and academic growth.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and have experience in supporting their learning journey.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Support small groups or individual children with specific learning needs.
  • Collaborate with the Early Years Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Monitor children's progress and development, recording key observations and providing constructive feedback.
  • Manage challenging behaviour with calm composure.
  • Foster participation among all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and school policies.
  • Promote the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
Requirements for the Role
  • A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Previous experience working with children is essential.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply.
  • The ability to hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Two professional references within the last two years.
