About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Electrical Engineer to establish and grow a new regional office in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of electrical systems for buildings, working closely with clients and design teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients from multiple projects at various stages, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Supervise the production of drawings in 2D and 3D design using AutoCAD/Revit, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with design teams and clients during the design phase of projects, ensuring seamless communication and project delivery.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Monitor progress and take a leading role in contact between clients and teams.
  • Lead a team and contribute to winning new work.
Requirements
  • Chartered engineer with a minimum 10+ years' experience in designing electrical systems for buildings.
  • Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong client skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Experience in managing projects with increasing management and leadership responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in software such as Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, IES or Dialux.
  • Interest in responding to the climate emergency and contributing to sustainable building design.
