We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team in Catterick. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of design proposals, ensuring they meet customer/employer requirements, and implementing the TD digital protocols and client BIM deliverables.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the development and implementation of design proposals, ensuring they meet customer/employer requirements, including budget and programme constraints.
  2. Implement the TD digital protocols and client BIM deliverables.
  3. Monitor responsibilities for the scheme against the project design responsibilities matrix.
  4. Manage the Design Team, including M&E elements.
  5. Facilitate forums and processes that engage with the commercial and operational teams to ensure input in the design process.
  6. Conduct QA/Initial design reviews of information received to assist in design quality management.
  7. Manage the design deliverables programme.
  8. Facilitate meetings relating to design delivery.
  9. Be aware and assist in the management of sustainability deliverables for the scheme, including external and internal targets.
  10. Liaise with document project document control and assist in the management of this resource.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Awareness of the principles of construction and ability to work effectively in a project team.
  2. Excellent IT skills, with Microsoft Office essential.
  3. CAD knowledge is preferable but not essential.
  4. Strong time management and structured approach to work.
