Job Title: Design Manager

Type: Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team in the Catterick area. As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of design proposals, ensuring they meet customer/employer requirements, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of design proposals, ensuring they meet customer/employer requirements.
  • Monitor responsibilities for the scheme against the project design responsibilities matrix.
  • Assist in the effective management of the Design Team, including M&E elements, and managing any 3rd parties or novated design teams.
  • Facilitate forums and processes that engage with the commercial and operational teams to ensure input in the design process.
  • Conduct QA/Initial design reviews of information received to assist in design quality management.
  • Assist in the management of the design deliverables programme.
  • Assist in the management and facilitation of meetings relating to design delivery.
  • Be aware and assist in the management of sustainability deliverables for the scheme, including external and internal targets.
  • Liaise with document project control and assist in the management of this resource.

Requirements:

  • Awareness of the principles of construction and the ability to work effectively in a project team.
  • Excellent IT Skills relevant to the Business Stream, with Microsoft Office being essential.
  • CAD knowledge is preferable but not essential.
  • Strong time management and a structured approach to work.
