About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our team in Farnham. As a Trainee Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting our experienced accountants in preparing financial statements, working on bookkeeping tasks, and supporting other team members in the Accounting & Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Work on bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and reconciliations
  • Support other team members in the Accounting & Finance Department with tasks and projects
  • Participate in financial audits and collaborate with the audit team to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare reports and analyses as requested by management, using financial software and tools
  • Comply with regulations and guidelines in relation to accounting and finance, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Attend training sessions and professional development workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing excellent customer service
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in an accountancy practice, preferably with a reputable firm
  • AAT qualified or part qualified, with a strong interest in pursuing further qualifications
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, including Excel and QuickBooks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
