Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Rochester

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 depending on skills and experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems - UK. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Helmet Mounted Displays (HMD) & Active Inceptor Systems (AIS) project teams concerning Quality Assurance tasks and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, conducting, reporting, and effectively communicating Quality Assurance tasks and activities
  • Leading junior members of the Quality Assurance department in conducting tasks and activities
  • Engagement with HMD & AIS Management and Teams on Quality System matters

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience of EN9100 (AS9100) Quality System requirements
  • Proficiency of First Article Inspections to AS9102
  • Quality Assurance Planning, Estimating, and Estimates to Complete
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Management
  • Drawing and Document Reviews and Configuration Management
  • Experience in leading complex Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations

Desirable:

  • Awareness of the development life cycle of projects from phase 2 to phase 5
  • Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145
  • Previous experience in electronic products
  • Proficiency in compliance procedures: Systems / Safety - APR 4754 / ARP 4761

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Quality Assurance team and contribute to the development of Safety Critical Systems. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be implementing the internal Quality Assurance strategy for development projects and gaining knowledge and experience of Aerospace standards.
