At digiLab, a pioneering AI scale-up based in the UK, we're looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As part of our 4-day working week, you'll work closely with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced software developer who can contribute to the architectural design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications. Your expertise will be crucial in applying security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle and mentoring junior engineers to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
  • Contribute to the architectural design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
  • Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need industry experience in scientific software development, DevOps, and MLOps. A strong understanding of Python, Linux, bash, and the command line is essential. Experience with modern machine learning and AI, as well as RESTful API design principles, is also desired.

A Master's level qualification in computer science or a related field, combined with significant professional experience with collaborative software development, is highly valued.
