Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Feltham

Contract type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Salary: £85 - £100 per day

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a SEND school in the Feltham area who are looking for a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

In this role, you will be required to support children with special needs on various levels of the autistic spectrum, providing individualized support and promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.

This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Secondary aged SEND children with all aspects of their development
  • Deal with challenging behaviour, ensuring children are calm throughout the day
  • Handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding
  • Be aware of safeguarding procedures to keep children safe at all times
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people or SEND in any capacity
  • Either live in Feltham or within a commutable distance
  • You must also have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new one
  • Have experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, though not essential
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal and written
