Residential Support Worker - Exciting Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Residential Support Worker to join our dynamic team at a secure, welfare-only, all-female children's home in Glinton, Peterborough.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with complex needs. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing individualized support, building positive relationships, and promoting the well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Empathy & Passion: Respond effectively to a range of emotions and demonstrate a commitment to helping young people.
  2. Relationship Builders: Form positive relationships with young people and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  3. Communication Skills: Develop strong interpersonal skills, including report writing and incident recording, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  4. Flexibility: Work alternate weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays (sleep-ins on a rota basis), demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  5. Physical Activity: Participate in physical activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
  6. Experience: Leverage previous experience in childcare or knowledge of child protection issues and procedures to provide high-quality support.
  7. Qualification: Hold an NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP), demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
