Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our hosting team at InterSystems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high levels of availability, performance, and security for our hosted solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement hosting solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work with our co-location partners to ensure the ongoing provision of space, power, and cooling for our hosted solutions.
  • Lead and/or participate in the provisioning and deployment of server, network, and other hosting-related equipment.
  • Perform hardware qualification testing on new hardware platforms and certify them for production deployments.
  • Work with stakeholders across the solutions lifecycle to ensure that pre-operational sign-offs are obtained.
  • Assist with the troubleshooting of integration issues.
  • Consult with technical stakeholders on the delivery of hosted solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with server hosting infrastructure and management.
  • Hands-on storage/SAN deployment and management experience.
  • Hands-on Cisco and F5 networking deployment and management experience.
  • Hands-on VMware deployment and management experience.
  • Hands-on Linux deployment and management experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong scripting skills.
  • Enthusiasm and talent for acquiring complex technical skills.
  • Good customer service attitude.
  • Knowledge of service monitoring and alerting.
  • Knowledge of configuration management.
  • Scripting for automation using technologies.
  • ITIL knowledge – principles and application.
  • Ability to support and develop junior colleague.
