Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our hosting team at InterSystems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing our cloud hosting infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability, performance, and security for our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Design and Deployment: Work with our co-location partners to design and deploy server, network, and storage infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Cloud Hosting Operations: Participate in the definition, documentation, and operation of operational processes, including incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for all areas of hosted services, including participation on a 24x7 on-call rota, and ensure the timely resolution of incidents and/or problems affecting hosted solutions.
  • Automation and Metrics: Define, implement, monitor, and report on metrics required for the delivery of highly-available hosted services, and further enhance the automation of hosting-related processes.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with server hosting infrastructure, Cisco UCS blades, storage/SAN deployment and management, Cisco and F5 networking, VMware, Linux, and Windows domain and AD management.
  • Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills, scripting skills, enthusiasm for acquiring complex technical skills, good customer service attitude, and ability to support and develop junior colleagues.
