About the Job

We are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Raising and reviewing sales invoices to ensure accuracy.
  • Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate records for efficient tracking.
  • Adding new supplier/customer details to our database for seamless interactions.
  • Calculating VAT on purchases and managing related documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining cash flow records for informed decision-making.
  • Raising credit and debit notes for stock or VAT discrepancies to resolve issues promptly.
  • Providing holiday cover within the finance team to ensure continuity.
  • Managing credit card processing and maintaining the credit control sheet to minimize risks.
  • Supporting with general administration, filing, and incoming post to maintain a clutter-free workspace.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant role, a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control, excellent IT skills, and exceptional administrative and organisational skills.
