About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team as a Senior Business Intelligence Expert. This role involves delivering data-driven insights to support business decisions in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and determine the best data/analytics approach.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders, providing expert data analysis and recommendations.
  • Deliver impactful data products and insights empowering the organisation to make informed decisions.
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to senior members of the organisation through clear, concise storytelling.
  • Take ownership of complex projects, ensuring right-first-time outputs on time.
  • Pursue innovative solutions and best practices, driving continuous improvement and development.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Senior Data Analyst with advanced SQL and Python skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of curiosity.
  • Expertise in advanced analytics techniques such as modelling and segmentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and collaborative team settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the retail energy industry, particularly with market-wide half-hourly settlement.
  • Familiarity with Git and cloud platforms, such as DataBricks.
  • Strong experience with visualisation tools, preferably Tableau.
