Job Description
  • Provide technical support for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces.
  • Assist the RAMS/Performance Engineer and depot production teams in resolving technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within own scope of work, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Review and summarise faults, failures, and actions taken by depot production teams as required.
  • Produce high-quality reports on all in-service and other defects, both at system and component levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine the best order of tasks to be performed in consultation with the (Shift) Production Manager.
  • Support other parts of the business by providing technical coaching and/or mentoring, and quality assurance as required.
  • Perform functional system tests on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.
  • Investigate ideas for safety and performance modifications and component enhancements with support from the RAMS/Performance Engineer.
