Highly Specialized Nurse

The Planned Investigation Unit at the NHS is a dynamic and diverse day case unit that supports the investigations and treatments of various trust-wide specialties.
This unit consists of eight trolleys, a telephone pre-assessment clinic, a multi-function treatment room where respiratory procedures are undertaken, along with a nurse-led greater occipital nerve injection clinic and a 5-chaired infusion and recovery suite.
The team takes pride in delivering excellent patient care and continuously strives to extend their knowledge and skill set.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialized, high-quality healthcare, ensuring the smooth operation of the area of work.
- Work within established protocols, adhering to local and national standards.
- Provide compassionate, dignified care while managing time and resources effectively.
- Undertake training, assessment, and facilitation of peers as required.
This role requires developing skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, and administration of infusions, along with undertaking competencies tailored to the Unit's needs.
Job Requirements- Safely prepare patients for interventional radiological procedures and provide post-procedural care in accordance with clinical pathways.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve unit goals and objectives.
