Job Title

We are seeking an experienced and organized Domestic Services Assistant to join our team at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday with various shift patterns available. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality domestic cleaning services to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with Service Level Specifications and Standard Operating Procedures.

The estimated salary for this role is £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the maintenance of a clean and hygienic environment throughout the hospital.
  2. Clean floors, work surfaces, furnishings, and related equipment manually and by use of machines.
  3. Dispose of clinical and domestic waste correctly and ensure that all equipment and materials required to perform cleaning tasks are maintained in a hygienic and safe condition.
  4. Collaborate with the team to achieve excellent service delivery and maintain a positive working environment.
  5. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience in general cleaning and operating machinery
  • Basic skills training, including accreditation by British Institute of Cleaning Science
  • Knowledge of Serco and Trust working practices and procedures, including Health and Safety requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
