Full-Time Support Worker Role in Rusholme

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Support Worker to join our team at a welcoming school in Rusholme. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) needs and learning disabilities, helping them develop important skills and access their education in a positive environment.

Job Description:

This is a full-time, 12-week contract position. The successful candidate will have prior experience working with young people or adults with special needs and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster confidence and support emotional regulation through daily activities with students on a one-to-one basis.
  • Assist small groups with focused learning sessions and practical skill-building exercises under the guidance of the teaching team.
  • Provide classroom support to teachers, maintaining an inclusive and supportive setting.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external professionals to create a consistent support network for each student.
  • Keep detailed records of student progress and relay insights to the teaching staff for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience working with young people or adults with special needs is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and work well as part of a team.
  • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
Salary:

The salary for this role is up to £120 per day, paid weekly.
