Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated secondary school in Tameside. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual with a solid background in school-based support roles. This rewarding position is ideal for a candidate who has previously worked within the education sector, particularly in a SEND capacity, and who is ready to make a real difference in students' lives.

About the Role:
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral part in the daily support and encouragement of students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with teaching staff, you'll assist in creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence. Your role will involve:

Providing one-on-one and small group support to SEND students.
Implementing tailored strategies to meet individual learning needs and objectives.
Helping maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Supporting the class teacher in monitoring student progress and adapting learning activities.
Building positive relationships with students to promote engagement and achievement.This role requires an individual who is patient, proactive, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting young people's education and well-being. Your experience within schools will enable you to seamlessly integrate into the team and provide high-quality support from day one.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
Demonstrated experience supporting SEND students.
A strong understanding of SEND and an empathetic approach to addressing individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
