About the Role

This position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. As a primary school teaching assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers to provide support to children in Year 1 who require additional help.

We are seeking a candidate who can use their language skills to facilitate communication between the teacher and students, particularly those who speak Romanian. Your role will be to create a positive learning environment that encourages academic achievement and promotes social growth.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and experience working with children who have special educational needs. You will work collaboratively with other teaching assistants to ensure that all children have access to the curriculum.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Ability to use language skills to support children who speak Romanian, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs or hold a relevant degree.
  • Possession of an Enhanced Child Only DBS and/or Overseas Police checks.
  • Able to provide a CV covering employment and education history since formal education ended.
  • Holding a legal right to work in the UK.
