Job Summary


The Earlham Institute is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join its team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing scientific and technical laboratory support to staff, students, and visitors. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the safe and efficient running of the laboratories, ensuring that all samples, reagents, and waste are handled, stored, and disposed of correctly.

Key Responsibilities



  • Support the laboratory team in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
  • Assist in the maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and procedures
  • Develop and maintain laboratory records and documentation


Requirements



  • Three A-levels (or equivalent) including a science-based subject
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory
  • Sound IT skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and organisational skills


What We Offer



  • A competitive salary within the range £22,011 to £24,000 per annum
  • A full-time contract of 5 years
