Regional Health and Safety Supervisor / Permanent / Central London

£70,000 - £75,000 + benefits

Are you an enthusiastic and proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental professional eager to join a forward-thinking construction firm that prioritizes safety above all? Our client, a leading construction contractor known for its commitment to quality and innovation, operates across various building sectors nationwide.

In this role, you will deliver ongoing regional HSEQ support to numerous construction sites within the South East. Your responsibilities will include overseeing multiple projects alongside operational teams and external health and safety partners. You will champion HSEQ initiatives, assess site safety performance, and ensure adherence to company and HSE policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess experience at the Manager or Senior Advisor level, demonstrating the ability to plan effectively and anticipate challenges. Candidates should be client-oriented, possess strong commercial insight, and have a proven track record of achieving results within set timelines.

Experience in safety management within the interiors, fit-out, or commercial construction sectors (preferably as a Principal Contractor) is essential for consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and the internal health and safety team
  • Lead internal site health and safety meetings
  • Participate in client health and safety meetings
  • Assist site teams with all health and safety matters
  • Review and enhance safe systems of work
  • Oversee daily health and safety operations on-site
  • Conduct workplace inspections and document findings
  • Investigate accidents or incidents thoroughly
  • Manage on-site occupational health initiatives

Role Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a fast-paced site-based health and safety role within the construction industry
  • Strong communication skills at all levels with client-facing experience
  • A technically proficient team player with experience in providing health and safety support in construction and building services
  • Proficient in IT with strong report-writing capabilities

Essential Experience/Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent
  • Experience in construction health and safety
