Role Overview:

  1. Oversee the construction site and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards using specified drawings and instructions, while adhering to budget and schedule.
  2. Supervise all direct labor as necessary and coordinate the activities of trades and subcontractors involved on the site.
  3. Ensure that all work remains on schedule and that all details as specified in the drawings and instructions are followed.
  4. Maintain health and safety standards in accordance with established company procedures and legislation.
  5. Gather and obtain relevant information to effectively plan and execute the work.
  6. Implement and monitor all systems and procedures to ensure effective operation.
  7. Regularly review, maintain, and update all health and safety requirements and procedures.
  8. Establish and adhere to appropriate environmental controls.
  9. Set up and maintain site facilities and welfare provisions.
  10. Provide feedback on objectives and training and development needs, as requested.
  11. Understand client objectives and ensure effective communication with the team.
  12. Encourage client feedback, communicate effectively with line managers, and take appropriate action where necessary.
  13. Address relevant issues raised during close-out meetings for future projects.
  14. Evaluate and address supplier performance in relation to objectives.
  15. Communicate subcontractor performance to all relevant parties.
  16. Encourage the use of supplier's technical knowledge, skills, and expertise.
  17. Act as a deputy for the contract/project manager at project/progress meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience in the main contracting market with a background in Education, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Residential projects ranging from £20 to £100 million.

As a seasoned Construction Site Supervisor, you will possess a solid understanding of construction techniques, a HNC/HND (or equivalent), First Aid, CITB, and comprehensive health & safety knowledge.
