Position: Lead Construction Site Supervisor

Location: Project-based in London, with some flexibility for remote work

We are seeking a skilled and seasoned Lead Construction Site Supervisor to oversee the efficient progress of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints. This role is primarily project-based, allowing for occasional remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards based on specified plans and guidelines, while maintaining budget and schedule integrity.
  2. Supervise direct labor and coordinate the activities of trades and subcontractors to ensure efficient operations aligned with the construction schedule and quality standards.
  3. Enforce health and safety regulations consistently, adhering to company protocols and legal requirements.
  4. Act as a reliable point of contact for all site-related inquiries.
  5. Implement and monitor operational systems and procedures to ensure effective site management.
  6. Establish and maintain appropriate environmental controls on-site.
  7. Set up and manage site welfare facilities.
  8. Provide constructive feedback on performance and training needs as required.
  9. Understand client objectives and facilitate effective communication within the team.
  10. Encourage client feedback and maintain open communication with management, taking necessary actions as needed.
  11. Address relevant issues identified during project close-out meetings for future improvement.
  12. Communicate subcontractor performance to all pertinent stakeholders.
  13. Encourage the utilization of suppliers' technical expertise and skills.
  14. Assist in the project review process for other sites as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in the main contracting sector, particularly in Education, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Residential projects valued between £10 million and £75 million.

Qualifications:

As a proficient Lead Construction Site Supervisor, you will have a solid understanding of construction methodologies and hold a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in construction, along with certifications such as CIOB, First Aid, and CSCS. Preferably, you will also have completed CITB 5-day and Temporary Works training.
