We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our CAMHS team in Barnsley. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities- Work as a non-medical prescriber, prescribing medication as required and in accordance with Trust and national policies.
- Provide advice and support to other clinicians, acting as a source of expertise in CAMHS community care provision.
- Develop and deliver clinical management plans for clients, working closely with medical personnel and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of alternative ways of working through the introduction of non-medical prescribing.
- Work in close collaboration with medical personnel, developing and delivering clinical management plans for clients.
We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust providing community, mental health, and learning disability services for the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees, and Wakefield. Our mission is to help people reach their potential and live well in their communities.
Requirements- Registered Nurse Mental Health or Registered Nurse Learning Disability.
- Relevant teaching qualification.
- Recognised qualification in non-medical prescribing.
- Supplementary Prescriber.
- Independent Prescriber.
- A current driving license and access to a car during the working day.
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with good communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have a current philosophy underpinning CAMHS community care provision and awareness of accountability of own and others roles in a nurse-led service.
Training and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have postgraduate study to Masters Level or equivalent in a field related to nursing in mental health and or learning disability. They will also have experience of working as a non-medical prescriber and in a senior role in care of children and young people with mental health needs and or learning disability.
