We are collaborating with our esteemed client, a leading specialist in adult inpatient services. The hospital is located in South Leeds and has 40 beds across three wards.

The hospital boasts an experienced medical and multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive support to patients with acute mental health needs.

The Consultant in Adult Psychiatry position is based on a PICU ward, where you will be responsible for 12 patients as the lead clinician.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working on a 12-bed PICU Ward.
  • Offering leadership and guidance while being the Responsible Clinician for patients.
  • Leading the MDT team and liaising with external professionals to ensure high-quality standards for all patients.
  • Delivering exceptional care to patients and families.
  • Providing care to all patients on the ward, supported by a specialty doctor and team of physical health specialists.
  • Attending MHA meetings and completing MHA reports.
  • Collaborating with a junior doctor and MDT who support the ward.

Job Requirements:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week commitment.
  • Experience in Adult or Forensic Psychiatry is essential.
  • Must hold Section 12 and AC status.
  • A permanent Contract with various payment methods available.
  • Participation in a 1-in-3 on-call rota, paid in addition to hourly rates.
