Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of mental health services in the North West region, serving over 1.4 million people. We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kirkby Community Mental Health Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop excellent practice in adult community psychiatry, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality assessment and treatment for adults with psychosis and other severe mental illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Kirkby CMHT team and provide expert clinical guidance
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
  • Supervise and support junior trainees
  • Contribute to clinical and medical leadership within the Recovery Team

Requirements:

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty of General Adult Psychiatry
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty

Estimated Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
