Project Manager

As a key member of the IMS & Technical Department at Air Liquide, you will play a critical role in delivering industrial projects from concept to realization. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support across all operational activities, ensuring the effective management and implementation of industrial projects that meet business requirements.
Working closely with the IMS and Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing the portfolio of industrial projects, ensuring process adherence, progress reporting, stage sign-off, and arbitration. This role requires close interaction with other members of the IMS & Technical team, business stakeholders, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Define, document, and validate requirements specifications for industrial projects, including functional, system, technical, and cost requirements.
- Develop design specifications detailing technical requirements, operating parameters, compliance requirements, performance standards, and management of change.
- Prepare project budgets, investment proposals, and justifications.
- Develop implementation plans for project execution, including the selection of contractors as appropriate.
- Manage the handover to Project Engineering or 3rd Parties for project delivery.
- Monitor the execution process and provide technical support during project delivery.
- Validate delivered solution performance against design specifications and handover to operations.
- Organize and manage project gate reviews, ensuring appropriate sign-off.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement of the industrial project process.
- Collaborate with the IMS & Technical Manager to manage the portfolio of industrial projects, including arbitration, selection, and execution.
- Masters or Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (ideally working towards Chartership) or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in design, verification, and installation of mechanical or pressure systems on multiple projects.
- Experience with PED and pressure equipment design.
- Experience with TPED requirements.
- Proficient with 2D CAD and 3D modeling software.
- Planning and organization skills.
- Proactive and able to initiate actions and achieve goals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
