Laundry Operations Manager

As a Laundry Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our linen services, including supervising teams, managing annual leave and sickness, and communicating with users to ensure service specifications are met.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Communications and Relationship Skills
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, staff, and health service information in accordance with Trust Policy.
- Provide effective communication and support for meetings relevant to department operations.
- Aid hospital staff, visitors, and patients in difficult situations caused by third parties, following Trust policies and procedures.
- Communicate sensitive issues with deceased families using tact and respect.
- Guide and direct visitors, handle telephone calls, and take written notes of relevant information.
- Investigate and resolve complaints speedily and effectively, maintaining a positive department image.
- Take a leading role in departmental IT initiatives.
- Provide advice and support to the Linen team.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Level NVQ 3 in a management discipline or equivalent experience.
Desirable Criteria
- IOSH qualification.
Skills
Essential Criteria
- Experience supervising a multi-disciplined workforce.
- Knowledge of supervising a linen service.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience as a Linen Assistant or equivalent front-line service.
