About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Cardiologist to join our team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a specialist in pacing and complex devices, you will play a crucial role in supporting the provision of pacing services in Norfolk and Waveney and undertaking on-call duties in general cardiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mutual cover for annual, study, and professional leave for weekday cover, with weekend cover swapped only if necessary after discussion with colleagues.
  • Help provide cross-cover of the pacing service.
  • Offer consultation and advisory services to medical colleagues in other specialties within the Trust.
  • Liaise with medical staff in other specialties and participate in regular clinical meetings and post-graduate activities.
  • Take part in the Royal College of Physicians continuing medical education programme.
  • Contribute to teaching and audit activities, including bedside teaching, seminars, and PBL feedback.
  • Attend weekly MDT with cardiothoracic colleagues at Papworth, monthly Directorate and clinical governance meetings, and subspecialty MDT.
