About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Midwife to lead our Maternity Services team at Cabrini Health.

This is a key leadership position that requires a dynamic and visionary individual who is passionate about maternal and newborn health.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in midwifery and leadership, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Maternity Unit.

Key responsibilities will include managing inpatient maternity services, leading and supervising staff, coordinating clinical activities, overseeing finances, and promoting ongoing quality improvement.

The ideal candidate will be able to optimize patient safety and ensure an exceptional experience for patients and their families.

This is a permanent full-time role, reporting directly to the Clinical Services Director - Medical Services.

Key Capabilities
  • Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Maternity Unit
  • Previous management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in change management
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Adaptable to change within an evolving service
  • Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes
  • High-level organisational skills
  • A qualification in management or working towards it will be highly regarded
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation
