Maternity Services Manager

Cabrini Health is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Midwife to lead our Maternity Services team at Cabrini Malvern.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that requires a highly motivated and qualified individual to manage inpatient maternity services, lead and supervise staff, coordinate clinical activities, oversee finances, and promote ongoing quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inpatient maternity services to optimize patient safety and ensure an exceptional experience for patients and their families.
  • Lead and supervise a team of midwives and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate clinical activities, including developing and implementing policies and procedures, to ensure efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Oversee finances, including budgeting and resource allocation, to ensure the effective management of maternity services.
  • Promote ongoing quality improvement, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Maternity Unit.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Adaptable to change within an evolving service.
  • Commitment to quality patient care and outcomes.
  • High-level organisational skills.
  • A qualification in management or working towards it will be highly regarded.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of the organisation.
